Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or similar finance roles, ideally in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, consolidation, P&L analysis, and budgeting
  • Solid understanding of working capital management and cash flow forecasting
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (operations, accounting, procurement, senior leadership) to drive financial performance
  • Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial modeling tools)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of financial performance and provide strategic recommendations for business growth

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the divisional P&L, conducting in-depth analysis of revenue, costs, and margins. Provide actionable recommendations to leadership on how to grow revenue, improve margins, and increase profitability
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure a timely close. Once preliminary numbers are derived the FP&A lead will create consolidated divisional P&Ls and KPI’s to manage PL’s and ensure accuracy and consistency across financial reports. Comment on revenue, GP and EBITDA drivers and impact on projected results
  • Work closely with the operations team to understand key business drivers and operational performance. Provide financial insights to support margin improvement initiatives and cost optimization strategies
  • Prepare detailed financial forecasts for upcoming months and provide clear explanations of budget-to-actual variances, identifying areas for corrective actions or opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor and analyze key working capital trends, ensuring effective management of cash flow within the division. Support cash posting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Work with the accounting team and divisional controllers to produce accurate monthly financials, ensuring timely reporting of all financial results and compliance with accounting standards
  • Collaborate with procurement to analyze vendor pricing, volume consolidation, and cost-saving opportunities. Provide financial insights to optimize vendor relationships and purchasing strategies
  • Present detailed monthly operating results to senior leadership, highlighting key financial metrics, performance trends, and areas of concern. Present actionable recommendations to improve financial outcomes
  • Provide dedicated financial support to the General Manager of the division, offering insights and financial analysis to assist in strategic decisionmaking
  • Work closely with corporate teams to develop and manage the annual budget for the division, ensuring alignment with business goals and financial targets
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial planning, reporting, and analysis to enhance efficiency and the quality of financial insights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MBA or Master’s in Finance/Accounting)
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA
