Summary

Join GOAT Group's Finance team as the Director of FP&A and lead the company's financial reporting and budgeting processes. You will develop and improve financial reports, analyze business performance, and partner with business leaders to make sound financial decisions. This role requires 10+ years of experience in FP&A and a strong understanding of accounting. You'll need mastery of Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with technology and e-commerce industries is a plus. Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in FP&A, corporate, and/or operations finance
  • Familiarity in technology, e-commerce, and/or marketplace industries and business models, including omni-channel sales models (web, mobile, and retail)
  • Resilience and flexibility to the demands of working in a fast-growing start up, including the need to adapt, build, reprioritize, and learn new aspects of the business and industry as necessary
  • Strong understanding of accounting and accounting operations/processes
  • Mastery in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with a formidable attention to detail
  • Healthy curiosity to understand all aspects of the business
  • Ability to work collaboratively to drive cross-functional execution on business goals
  • Elevated pride of ownership in work product

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company’s financial reporting and budgeting process, as aligned with the company’s business objectives and long-term growth plans
  • Continue to develop and improve on financial reports to help the business identify opportunities and improve decision-making
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry reporting metrics and best practices on company financial reporting
  • Perform and review month-end variance analysis, working collaboratively with accounting, data, and business leaders to understand prime factors driving business financial performance
  • Monitor and analyze expenditures of the business
  • Partner with business leaders to help manage their budget and ensure financially sound decisions are made
  • Invest in the team’s growth and continuous learning
  • Promote continual process improvement across the finance organization
  • Other ad-hoc analysis and work across the business, as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to NetSuite or other accounting systems
  • SQL exposure (or a willingness to learn)
