Requirements
- Masterβs degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred
- 10+ years tax experience in public accounting or a highly complex multinational environment required with a strong background in VAT, GST, sales and use tax, and other indirect taxes
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
- In-depth knowledge of global indirect tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the global indirect tax team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all indirect tax obligations
- Develop and implement indirect tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize risks
- Oversee the preparation and review of indirect tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company, providing proactive advice and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and IT to ensure alignment on tax-related matters
- Maintain relationships with external tax advisors and authorities, representing the company in audits and disputes
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on indirect tax matters
- Drive continuous improvement in tax processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tax technology and ERP systems is a plus
