Summary

Join Appfire as their Director, Corporate Social Responsibility and design, launch, and scale a modern, high-impact CSR function. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will architect a modern CSR strategy rooted in Appfire's values, business mission, and evolving expectations of employees, customers, partners, and investors. Your scope includes launching and scaling programs in volunteering, charitable giving, ESG reporting, DEI, community impact, and education initiatives. You will lead and grow a small CSR team and collaborate cross-functionally to embed CSR into Appfire's operations, culture, and brand. As a senior leader, you will be a visible steward of company values and culture, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and service. This role is ideal for someone who has built CSR programs in a fast-paced company or nonprofit environment and wants to shape a legacy of impact. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Sustainability, Public Policy, Business, or Social Sciences) required; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in CSR, ESG, sustainability, or social impact—ideally with experience in both nonprofit and corporate environments
  • Proven track record of building and scaling CSR or ESG programs from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of ESG and sustainability best practices, including carbon accounting and climate-related disclosure frameworks
  • In-depth knowledge of CSR and ESG regulations and standards (e.g., CSRD, GRI, TCFD, SASB) and their application to corporate reporting and strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a team while fostering a culture of purpose and accountability
  • Personal commitment to ethical leadership and acting as a role model of company values
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English required, any additional languages a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a forward-looking CSR strategy, aligned with Appfire’s values, global footprint, and business priorities
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Chief of Staff and executive team on social impact opportunities, ESG trends, and responsible business practices
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, purpose-driven CSR team, fostering growth and impact
  • Champion our values internally and externally, serving as a visible culture leader across the company
  • Design and launch scalable global programs for employee volunteering, charitable giving, and community engagement, including partnerships that reflect our tech-for-good mission
  • Lead ESG initiatives, including carbon accounting, emissions tracking, and climate-related reporting
  • Co-develop and support DEI and education-related programs with internal stakeholders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (People, Legal, Marketing, Product, etc.) to integrate CSR principles into daily business practices, product development, and customer engagement
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including NGOs, social enterprises, education partners, community partners, and industry networks to extend our reach and amplify our impact
  • Represent Appfire in relevant forums and networks related to CSR and ESG
  • Create data-driven frameworks to track and evaluate program effectiveness, social and environmental impact, and employee engagement
  • Lead ESG and CSR disclosures (including carbon emissions), ensuring alignment with global frameworks (e.g., EU CSRD, GRI, TCFD, SASB) and emerging regulations
