Summary

Join CARET's Infrastructure Engineering Team as the fully remote Director of Infrastructure, reporting to the SVP Cloud Engineering and Technology. This leadership role encompasses the success of the Cloud Hosting environment for CARET's customer base. You will manage and actively participate with the team in daily operations, collaborating with department leaders to enhance the Cloud Hosting environment. The Director will create and deliver department goals focused on high availability and scalability of services. This position requires strong leadership and technical expertise in datacenter infrastructure, Windows administration, and automation, along with experience managing and growing a team of Infrastructure Engineers. Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in a Manager Role over Infrastructure or Datacenter team with experience in growing individuals
  • Minimum 10+ years of continuous experience in Infrastructure Engineering
  • Deep technical knowledge of Datacenter HA architecture, infrastructure, servers, storage, switches, firewalls, load balancers
  • Expert in Virtualization architecture and experience running large scale Hyper-V environments serving MSP style windows RDP environments
  • Expert in Windows Server management, Active Directory domain and user management at scale, patch management, and
  • Experience in Automation with regards to hardware, virtualization, server, user, patch management
  • Experience with Powershell, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong management skills in delivering results and building relationships
  • Strong organization and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical sessions and perform mentoring for team members
  • Capable of communicating complex technical information to a non-technical audience and of communicating structured process requirements to a technical audience
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Engineering department
  • Plan, execute, and deliver service improvements for CARET's private cloud clients
  • Partner closely with security, provisioning, and support departments to address customer issues while reducing workload
  • Manage and balance tactical and strategic initiatives
  • Build and support a high functioning team
  • Improve, design, and test disaster recovery and business continuity processes
  • Manage budget for CARET’s private overseeing and reporting on costs
