Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, particularly in SaaS or technology companies
  • Experience in managing software procurement and vendor relationships is critical
  • Deep understanding of procurement software systems, including experience with Tipalti and NetSuite
  • Strong experience in software implementation, integration, and process management in the SaaS environment
  • Experience in the SaaS or technology industry, with specific expertise in software and service procurement, vendor management, and IT procurement
  • Ability to analyze procurement data, negotiate favorable software agreements, and drive process improvements using data-driven insights
  • Proven track record of leading procurement teams in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across various levels of the organization
  • Exceptional focus on contract management, software licensing, and compliance within the SaaS industry
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a rapidly evolving and high-growth SaaS environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies specifically tailored for the SaaS environment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with Saviynt’s growth objectives
  • Oversee software procurement, IT tools, and services necessary to support business operations
  • Manage and optimize relationships with key suppliers and software vendors
  • Lead the evaluation, negotiation, and management of contracts, including software renewals and vendor performance
  • Oversee the implementation of new procurement software solutions, ensuring integration with existing systems (e.g., NetSuite, Tipalti)
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to manage the technical side of procurement systems, ensuring seamless operation and optimization
  • Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition approval to software purchasing, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and implementation
  • Work closely with internal teams to meet the company’s SaaS-specific needs
  • Establish and refine procurement processes that ensure compliance, efficiency, and cost optimization
  • Enforce policies that streamline the Procure-to-Pay process, driving adoption of procurement systems like Tipalti and NetSuite within the organization
  • Collaborate with Finance to create and manage procurement budgets for software and services, tracking expenditures, savings, and ensuring cost-efficiency
  • Provide insights into software renewals, contract negotiations, and technology spend
  • Ensure procurement activities, especially around SaaS contracts and software licensing, comply with legal, financial, and industry standards
  • Manage risks associated with vendor contracts and software integrations
  • Develop reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor procurement performance
  • Use data analytics to assess the effectiveness of software procurement strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure alignment with Saviynt’s business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • An MBA or relevant certifications (such as CPM, CPSM) is a plus
  • Experience in managing software vendor relationships, including Tipalti and NetSuite, is a plus
