Summary

Tapcheck is seeking an experienced Director of Product Management, Card to lead their card product initiatives. The role involves developing a comprehensive card strategy, managing the entire product lifecycle for card products, conducting market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the card, banking, and payments industries, specifically in debit and credit card products.

Requirements

  • Extensive product management experience with 8+ years in the card, banking, and payments industries
  • A strong educational background with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive card product strategy tailored for debit and credit payment instruments
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle for card products, managing card design, production, activation processes, and ongoing cardholder support
  • Create detailed product requirements, prioritize features based on card network rules (e.g., Visa, MasterCard) and industry best practices
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis, focusing on trends such as contactless payments, mobile wallet integrations, and digital card issuance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and finance, to ensure cohesive and integrated development and launch of card products
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with targeted product positioning and messaging
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including card networks, processors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure product priorities align with industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Establish and track KPIs relevant to the card payments industry, focusing on metrics like card activation rates, transaction volumes, customer acquisition costs, and retention rates
