Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Product Quality Assurance & Control, Process Engineering, and/or Manufacturing
- Bachelorโs degree in a relevant technical or scientific field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or similar)
- Experience in a startup environment building a Quality Program at scale
- Willingness to travel up 50%, including internationally
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and operate at a granular level when needed
- Intellectual curiosity and research abilities
- Understanding of ISO, Six Sigma, and and ASQ Certifications
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate new product opportunities by bringing internal stakeholders and existing/ new partners together
Responsibilities
- Serve as Dandyโs senior-most quality leader with end-to-end responsibilities delivering custom manufacturing quality at scale
- Build & support a complex operational system that includes supply chain, design, product, manufacturing, and partner/vendor relationship management
- Define quality for the company and put in place the agile systems, tools, and technologies to ensure each custom restoration meets the standard
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify business priorities and rollout system improvements and new programs
- Build and bring the Quality strategic vision to life in order to meaningfully drive the business forward and accomplish our ambitious goals
- Maintain International Quality Certifications
- Iterate and improve the Quality Management System, transforming it from a regulatory requirement to a competitive advantage
- Build systems and processes for perpetual compliance
- Establish, refine, and document quality control standards, inspection methods, and testing protocols
- Establish and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues
- Define and track key quality metrics (defect rate, returns,rejection rate, etc.)
- Partner with Product and Operations to ensure design controls, manufacturing validation, and process capability
- Build and maintain a winning team: establish the right mix of industry experts, quality engineers, generalists, and managers to support our future growth and aspirations
- Ensure adherence to standards at every stage
- Owning custom design standards and adherence measurements
- Manufacturing & Automation QC strategies
- Supplier quality validation (materials and finished goods)
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in technical disciplines (e.g., engineering, QA, manufacturing, math, or physics)
- Experience in legal or regulatory leadership within international markets
- Familiarity with the dental, medtech, or healthcare industries
