Join Tanium as a Director of Strategic Accounts (DSA) and focus on generating opportunities within the US Federal Civilian Government. You will be responsible for articulating the value of the Tanium platform to decision-makers, managing complex sales cycles, and nurturing relationships within your assigned territory. Collaborate with Partner and Marketing teams to support sales efforts and maintain a healthy pipeline. Accurately forecast sales and conduct presentations to generate leads. This role requires up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate possesses enterprise software sales experience within the Federal Government, a strong team mentality, a proven track record of exceeding quota, and excellent communication skills. Must reside in the Washington DC/VA/MD region.
Requirements
- Enterprise software sales experience, generating and closing large & complex software transactions with the Federal Government - specifically Federal Civilian
- A strong team mentality - selling is a team sport at Tanium, where managing and using virtual resources to tackle large and complex sales cycles is a must have skill
- Proven track record of exceeding quota
- Experience calling on and presenting to C-Suite level contacts
- The ability to strategize, plan, evangelize and build new business opportunities within whitespace territories
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must live in the Washington DC/VA/MD region
Responsibilities
- Articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision makers and expertly manage the complex sales cycle
- Nurture and develop relationships within the assigned territory and/or accounts, presenting to the C-suite the value of the Tanium platform
- Work with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts within assigned territory and/or accounts
- Generate appropriate sales development activity to ensure healthy pipeline management in this 100% whitespace territory
- Accurately forecast, maintaining excellent SFDC hygiene
- Conduct online webinars or in-person presentations to generate qualified leads
- Up to 25% travel as needed
Benefits
- The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 to $255,000 and this position will also be commission eligible
