Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic roles in strategy consulting, high-growth startups, sports, media, or technology sectors
  • Advanced analytical skills with a track record in conducting market research and leveraging data to drive strategy
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across functions, driving complex initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders
  • An understanding and enthusiasm for youth sports and the potential of technology to enrich the sports experience for athletes, coaches, and families
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with execution; able to define and translate high-level strategies into impactful action plans
  • Exceptional communication skills, can present strategic insights to executive leadership and shows project management skills with an emphasis on stakeholder alignment
  • A proactive and innovative mindset with a drive to explore new opportunities, challenge the status quo, and navigate change and ambiguity with agility

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the youth sports ecosystem, including important partners, user needs, trends, and competitive landscape
  • Identify and model growth opportunities and opportunities to enhance user engagement within this market
  • In partnership with the VP of Strategic Initiatives and Impact, President, and the leadership team, define clear strategic goals and growth priorities
  • Create and refine long-term growth plans and priorities that align with GameChanger’s vision for transforming youth sports
  • Develop applicable roadmaps for both all market segments
  • Ensure alignment with GameChanger’s overall long-term strategy for a youth sports platform
  • Act as a strategic advisor across product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and applicable market insights
  • Lead consultants and cross-functional project teams to deliver high-impact projects on time, ensuring alignment with our goals and maximizing outcomes
  • Lead the strategy for data gathering, ensuring user research, competitive analysis, and internal data are used effectively
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess initiative impact and inform continuous improvement
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and the latest technologies in youth sports
  • Identify and advocate for ideas and projects that differentiate GameChanger in a competitive landscape
  • Identify potential risks, challenges, and external factors that may affect growth
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and advise the leadership team on strategies to navigate market uncertainties
