Join our client in their search for a Director of Urban Design & Development to lead and shape innovative design initiatives in a rapidly evolving urban landscape. This strategic role involves overseeing projects that enhance community aesthetics while promoting sustainable development practices. You will be responsible for leading and managing urban design projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements. You will also oversee the development of comprehensive design strategies that integrate aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, planners, and engineers, to deliver high-quality project outcomes. You will engage with municipal agencies, stakeholders, and the community to ensure project support and successful implementation. Requirements
- Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in urban design and development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects
- Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and sustainability practices
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage urban design projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the development of comprehensive design strategies that integrate aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability
