Summary
Join Rightway as the Director of PBM Clinical Programs to lead the design, delivery, and optimization of clinical outreach programs, including Care Complete: Diabetes and Care Complete: Weight Management. This role is responsible for enhancing member experience, improving health outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs. You will manage a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, develop staffing models, and collaborate with other clinicians. This position requires strategic leadership, operational strategy, and business acumen, including owning the financial performance of clinical programs and reporting outcomes to clients. You will also serve as a clinical subject matter expert in sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a PharmD, 5+ years of experience leading clinical programs, and a proven track record of success in large-scale initiatives.
Requirements
- PharmD required; MBA or related business degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience leading clinical programs and people, preferably within a PBM or health plan setting
- Proven success driving results across large-scale, cross-functional clinical and operational initiatives
- Experience in client-facing roles, including program delivery, reporting, and/or sales enablement
- Deep understanding of pharmacy clinical care, population health, and member engagement strategies
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable using data to drive decisions, prioritize initiatives, and measure impact
- Demonstrated ability to build inclusive teams and foster collaborative, mission-aligned partnerships
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ownership mindset; thrives in ambiguity and motivated by building in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership over Rightway’s clinical outreach programs, including Care Complete: Diabetes and Weight Management
- Design and launch future clinical initiatives that contribute to Rightway revenue, cost savings, and/or measurable member health improvements
- Lead and develop a high-performing clinical team of pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians
- Develop and optimize staffing and resourcing models to ensure scalable, high-quality clinical program delivery
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal clinical teams, Product, D&I, and Marketing to build and launch member-first clinical programs
- Partner with Sales and Client Success to demonstrate the value of Rightway’s clinical programs in both client retention and new business efforts
- Monitor and report on program engagement, health outcomes, and performance against financial guarantees
- Ensure programs operate at a financially sustainable gross margin and meet internal performance targets
- Use data and insights to continuously refine strategy, improve member outcomes, and scale impact
