Summary

Join Greenhouse as the Director of IDEA & People Experience, reporting to the VP, People Success. This pivotal role shapes our culture, embeds IDEA principles in all practices, and enhances employee experience for our global, remote-first workforce. Lead a dedicated team, drive cross-functional alignment on people-centric initiatives, and act as a trusted advisor to leadership. Collaborate with the People Leadership Team, executive leadership, and other teams like Marketing to amplify IDEA and PX efforts. Design and implement strategies to boost employee engagement and recognition. Develop and execute a company-wide IDEA strategy, integrating these principles into all aspects of our culture and operations. Represent Greenhouse as a thought leader on IDEA and remote-first work.

Requirements

  • Progressive leadership experience in People, DEI, Culture, or Employee Experience leadership roles in dynamic, innovative environments
  • Demonstrated success managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience designing and operationalizing people and recognition strategies within a remote-first or global work environment
  • Experience designing initiatives across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to engagement and retention
  • A strong command of using metrics and analytics to shape strategy and measure the impact of people programs
  • Superb communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to lead change and build trust in a fast-paced environment
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategies to boost employee engagement, connection, and recognition for our global, remote-first team
  • Develop and execute a company-wide strategy for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Allyship (IDEA), integrating these principles into all aspects of our culture and operations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and change management leader for IDEA and people experience priorities, influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Partner cross-functionally with executive leaders, ERGs, and People team functions to embed IDEA principles throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Lead and develop a dedicated team, including hiring for a new People Experience role to support your vision
  • Represent Greenhouse as an internal and external thought leader on IDEA and remote-first work, contributing to our brand and thought leadership

  • A proven leader – you have extensive experience in People, IDEA, or Employee Experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • A strategic thinker – you use data and metrics to build a clear vision, shape strategy, and demonstrate measurable impact
  • An influential communicator – you excel at building trust, advising leadership, and inspiring action through compelling written and verbal communication
  • A remote-first champion – you have direct experience designing engagement and recognition strategies that connect a global, distributed workforce
  • A passionate builder – you are deeply committed to IDEA and People Experience and proactively design innovative programs to foster an inclusive and equitable culture
