Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in creating technical documentation for software systems
- Strong understanding of C#, TypeScript, Angular Scripting, .NET Core, Azure Cloud Services, DevOps, and GitHub
- Proficiency in creating detailed diagrams (system architecture, business process flow)
- Familiarity with Laserfiche Integration
- Excellent written communication skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams to gather information and produce accurate documentation
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user manuals and administrative management documentation for applications and systems
- Create and update periodic maintenance documentation to ensure clarity on system processes
- Draft business continuity procedures, including documentation for emergency business processes related to application restarts
- Maintain and update system architecture diagrams to reflect changes in system design and infrastructure
- Design and update business process diagrams to illustrate workflow processes effectively
- Ensure documentation in Azure DevOps clearly differentiates between Maintenance and Enhancement activities, adhering to the guidance of the Chief Technology Officer
- Collaborate with the team to establish reporting guidelines on activity tracking and billing within Azure DevOps
Preferred Qualifications
- A documented history of successful experience in enterprise IT organizations
- An articulated understanding of unique characteristics of IT services
- The ability to provide continuity of service throughout the duration of engagements
- A demonstrated appreciation of the Stateβs budget controls, with specific emphasis on controlling scopes and timelines of engagements
- Ability to excel in an interdisciplinary and multi-vendor environment(s)
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated technical understanding of the requirements of specific engagements
