Summary

Join Palo Alto Networksยฎ as a seasoned Domain Consultant (DC) and become the go-to expert for User Identity, Zero Trust Identity, and GlobalProtect within the NAM team. Drive the adoption of Cloud Identity Engine and User-ID, lead Zero Trust engagement, and cover GlobalProtect client support. You will play a key role in evangelizing, architecting, and simplifying the adoption of these solutions to enhance customer security. Collaborate with sales teams, internal stakeholders, and produce educational materials for Solutions Consultants. The role may evolve with emerging technologies and a vertical focus is possible. This position is based in the Central Region of North America.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of On-prem identity providers (LDAP/AD)
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud-native identity and SSO providers (Azure AD, OKTA)
  • Strong knowledge of SAML
  • Strong knowledge of PAN-OS USER-ID
  • Strong knowledge of Multi-Factor Authentication
  • Strong knowledge of Remote Access VPN and their agent
  • Strong knowledge of Posture Management
  • Strong knowledge of how Cisco ISE operates
  • Strong knowledge of Global Protect
  • 10+ years of successful pre-sales experience (direct account ownership or overlay)
  • In-depth knowledge of the Zero Trust model for security
  • Proven ability to work within small creative teams as well as cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Strong presentation skills both internally and externally
  • Solid organizational skills
  • "Whatever it takes" attitude

Responsibilities

  • Know all details of your technical domain, test the solutions, use your lab to complement the enablement of Solutions Consultants (SCs), build relevant content for NAM and share it with the SCs
  • Be the go-to-person for SCs on your technical domain
  • Present to customers as our expert in your technical domain at all levels in the customer hierarchy from technician to CIO
  • Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of
  • Advise on the best architectures and designs, understand how other customers are using the solutions and share best practices
  • Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and position ours as the best alternative
  • Lead and support customer demonstrations, with our Solutions Consultants, that showcase our unique value
  • Interact locally and remotely with customers in an equally persuasive manner
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Product Management to influence the roadmap and the success of our key customer projects
  • Participate and contribute to the success of associated Virtual Team/s
  • Drive the adoption of our Cloud Identity Engine, User-ID
  • Lead engagement around Zero Trust and how we construct security strategies by identifying who the user is
  • Cover our GlobalProtect client
  • Play a key role in evangelizing, architecting, and simplifying the effort to adopt these solutions to help customers become more secure
  • Work with our customer-facing sales teams (Solutions Consultants and Account Executives) and internal stakeholders (Product Management, Support, Marketing & others). The goal is to ensure that the solution aligns with our market goals, product capabilities, and roadmaps
  • Produce material and tools to educate the Solutions Consultant community and drive more successful wins
