Summary
Join Sysco GB as an Early Careers Coordinator for a 12-month maternity cover role. Support the company's early careers strategy by managing day-to-day operations of early careers and apprenticeship programs. Act as the main point of contact for inquiries, manage enrollment and onboarding, and monitor current apprentices. Build relationships with training providers and collaborate with internal stakeholders. Plan and deliver key events, support recruitment efforts, and contribute to the design and implementation of new initiatives. The role requires strong data analysis skills and proficiency in MS Office. This home-based position with occasional travel offers the chance to shape the future of Sysco's early talent pipeline.
Requirements
- We are seeking a motivated individual with experience or transferable knowledge of apprenticeships, early careers, and work experience programmes
- The ideal candidate will be a confident and clear communicator, skilled at building strong relationships and engaging effectively with people at all levels
- You should be highly organised, with excellent administrative skills and a keen eye for detail
- A curious and proactive mindset is essential, with the ability to challenge processes and recommend improvements
- Youβll thrive as part of a busy, high-energy team, balancing multiple priorities from day-to-day tasks to contributing to larger projects
- Strong data collation and analysis skills are required to provide meaningful reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential
Responsibilities
- Act as main point of contact for Early Careers enquiries
- Manage the enrolment and onboarding process for new apprenticeship programme starts, utilising the digital apprenticeship service effectively
- Support and monitor current apprenticeship learners, resolving issues and working towards successful programme completion
- Build strong relationships with training providers and monitor performance
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders where apprenticeships are integrated into development programmes
- Plan and deliver key events such as National Apprenticeship Week
- Support business & HR teams with planning and recruitment of new hire apprentice and graduate intakes (including outreach activities)
- Input to design, development and implementation of projects as a result of new Early Careers strategy rollout (e.g. school outreach framework, accessibility of internal apprenticeships, work experience, graduate development programme, resourcing model etc)
- Create and maintain clear data dashboards
- Assist with wider Talent Development learning interventions
