
E-commerce Manager

Summary
Join our team as a Part-Time E-commerce Manager and lead the day-to-day operations and performance optimization of our Shopify website. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing product display pages, overseeing website updates, planning product launches and sales promotions, and monitoring site performance. Key responsibilities include managing email and SMS marketing campaigns via Klaviyo, collaborating with the offshore development team, and reporting on key performance metrics. You will need 3+ years of experience managing DTC e-commerce, preferably in beauty/wellness/lifestyle brands, and deep experience with Shopify and Klaviyo. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a keen eye for detail are essential. This is a remote position offering flexibility and the opportunity to grow with a redefining outdoor skincare brand.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing DTC e-commerce, preferably in beauty/wellness/lifestyle brands
- Deep experience with Shopify and Klaviyo (email and SMS)
- Confident with GA, analytics tools, heatmaps, and data interpretation
- Strong eye for detail and UX
- Excellent copy, communication, and project management skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote role, but collaborative in spirit
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize all PDPs (Product Display Pages), ensuring accurate content, strong SEO, and conversion-forward design
- Oversee homepage, navigation, and seasonal merchandising updates
- Plan and execute product launches and sales promotions
- Monitor site daily to ensure uptime, product availability, and bug-free performance
- Update and publish blog content regularly (provided by founder/editorial team)
- Collaborate on ideas to tie site content to brand campaigns and seasonal storytelling
- Monitor Shopify, Klaviyo, and Google Analytics performance metrics
- Track and report on site health, AOV, conversion rates, and bounce rates
- Make actionable recommendations to improve performance and CX
- Manage and grow revenue through email and SMS marketing
- Build, optimize, and test flows for welcome, post-purchase, abandoned cart, and win back
- Own the calendar for regular campaign sends, working with our founder and creative team to execute beautifully branded, high-performing emails
- Communicate clearly with our offshore dev team to troubleshoot bugs and implement technical updates
- Act as point person for all ecommerce ops questions within the broader Utu team
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with subscription and bundling logic
- Know basic Liquid/CSS for Shopify tweaks
- Have a love for the outdoors, skincare, or wellness
- Identify with or support LGBTQ+ communities and inclusive brand missions
