Summary

Join Avery Dennison's Information Technology team as an EDI Analyst with Babelway expertise in Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes. This remote position requires collaboration with European stakeholders, supporting automation objectives for Customer Service, Sales, and Procurement teams. You will onboard new EDI integrations, maintain existing connections, and phase out legacy technology. A customer-focused approach, Babelway configuration skills, and project experience are essential. The role involves working with diverse internal and third-party stakeholders across multiple geographies. You will be a key enabler in implementing the company's EDI strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in IT development, support, systems administration, or a similar role
  • Demonstrate working knowledge/experience in integrating organizations with their trading partners using Babelway is a must
  • Working across a variety of trading partner types with a range of digital maturity and connection formats
  • Familiarity with multiple formats (e.g. X12, JSON, XML, CSV, flat file, papinet, edifact)
  • Knowledge of multiple communication types (e.g. AS2 VAN APIs SFTP)
  • Knowledge of Regex and XPath is a must
  • Skilled in solving problems and managing application performance
  • Experience in effectively communicating with a broad base of users (internal and external) and multiple management layers
  • Understanding of manufacturing industries and business processes
  • Skilled in anticipating user requirements and in identifying and resolving complex problems with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, training, customer service and organisational skills

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with fellow team members to develop, implement, and maintain the protocols and methodologies used in EDI integration with our trading partners
  • Leverage technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system performance and availability
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges effectively
  • Make independent decisions that may impact project timelines, resource allocation, and overall IT operations
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
  • Modify and enhance existing trading partner set-ups and communications translations to meet evolving business needs
  • Investigate data related failures
  • Document work processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing
  • Prepare and present technical findings and reports to the team and management, highlighting key insights and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Awareness of other EDI structures and protocols a bonus
  • Coding background not necessarily required
  • Project experience preferred
