Requirements

  • 4-6 years experience in Employee Relations or as HR Generalist, HR Manager, HR Business Partner or similar position
  • Experience owning Employee Relations actions across a diverse workforce - including hourly, nonexempt workers
  • Ability to build rapport and serve as a trusted partner to; influence and drive ER actions
  • Experience in managing investigations and leading Employee Relations actions
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience applying relevant legal/compliance regulations and employment/labor laws/regulations (ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc)
  • Proficiency in GSuite and HR software programs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of company policy violations with varying levels of complexities across multiple jurisdictions and working groups
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on employee relations actions - provide sound POVs and recommendations regarding precedent-setting decisions and policies in a fast growing, agile organization
  • Liaise with appropriate internal/external stakeholders to effectively manage company Immigration actions and global mobility policy
  • Adhere to investigative best practices and protocols around gathering and preserving information, documentation, and report writing; ensure legal compliance in ER-related issues
  • Make appropriate remedial or disciplinary recommendations following an investigation
  • Own leave and reasonable accommodation processes, in partnership with HRBPs and People Ops members
  • Partner closely with Legal, HRBPs, and other functional partners within the People Team to recommend and implement solutions
  • Apply employee and labor relations expertise to successfully identify trends and challenges, predict and mitigate risk, and develop and execute solution-focused strategies and programs
  • Build, analyze, and maintain ER metrics and review them on a quarterly basis
  • Provide strategic guidance and partnership to HRBPs on a myriad of issues, including policy interpretation and disciplinary actions, high-risk performance management, and other complex and sensitive employment matters
  • Create, iterate, and have ownership of People policies, procedures, and Employee Handbook
  • Support internal projects/initiatives as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a fast-growing company
  • Experience managing immigration programs and/or policies
  • Experience creating policies and processes from the ground up
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple geographies (internationally)
  • Demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly and begin building at lightning speed
  • Proficiency using various HRIS tools (eg Paylocity)
