Summary
Join Flatiron Health as an EMR Interface Engineer and become a changemaker in cancer care. As a member of the Interface Engineering team, you will be the primary technical contact for cancer center partners using Flatiron's EMR. You will lead EMR integration projects, work with customers and vendors, develop and deploy interfaces (HL7 V2, V3, FHIR, and APIs), perform data conversions, and gather customer feedback. This remote position offers flexibility in work location and hours. You will collaborate with internal teams to improve project management tools and processes. The role requires strong technical skills and experience in healthcare interoperability solutions.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience deploying healthcare interoperability solutions and performing electronic data conversions
- Have experience in implementing and supporting HL7 V2, V3 and FHIR integrations
- Have experience in SQL and/or other query languages
- Have experience with Infor Cloverleaf or another interface engine
- Be self-motivated and thrive in high-uncertainty situations
- Be flexible and adapt well to complex challenges
- Be able to travel to Flatironโs office in NYC for company and team events, and potentially customer sites up to 10% of the time
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage EMR integration and data conversion projects through pre-sales scoping, design, documentation, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization phases
- Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal team(s) during the discovery phase to identify workflow requirements, and determine how interfaces would fit into proposed solutions
- Work on multiple projects concurrently, monitor the status of tasks and escalate issues when appropriate
- Act as a technical touchpoint with customers and assist with customer production support issues related to interfaces and data conversions
- Collaborate with other Flatiron teams to create or enhance existing project management tools and processes to improve quality and throughput of interface implementations and data conversions
