Engineering Manager

Summary

Join Airtable's growing engineering team in Mexico City as their first engineering leader and manager. You will establish best practices for working with an international engineering team, build a talent network in Mexico City, and lead a team of high-functioning engineers. Responsibilities include implementing streamlined processes for collaboration with US teams, fostering a positive team culture, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across functions. You will apply your technical expertise to product design and construction. This role requires at least 3+ years of people management experience in Mexico City, experience partnering with US teams, and experience leading teams in developing mission-critical product features.

Requirements

• You are an experienced engineering leader, with at least 3+ years of people management experience, currently based out of Mexico City
• You have experience partnering with US teams/clients in the past and establishing best practices around collaboration style and cadence
• You have experience leading teams in developing mission-critical product features and systems with a strong emphasis on quality
• You have experience in leading product definition, managing trade-offs, and driving customer adoption
• You experience in managing and developing mid-level, senior, and staff engineers

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow a team of high-functioning engineers partnering with multiple engineering teams, based out of Mexico City
• Implement streamlined processes and best practices on collaborating and working with our SF (HQ) and NYC teams
• Cultivate a safe and inclusive team culture that fosters impactful outcomes
• Mentor a team of passionate and skilled engineers. Collaborate with senior engineers to amplify their contributions, and coach and develop early-career engineers
• Apply your technical expertise to collaborate with engineers in designing and constructing products in a high-quality and sustainable manner
• Collaborate across functions with engineering, product, design, and sales teams to ensure a seamless cross-platform experience for our customers
