Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of work experience
- U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Managing team(s) of engineers, coaching, and mentoring
- Agile development methodologies and tools - we use GitHub, Jira, Confluence
- Backend development - we use Java 17+, Spring Boot, Maven, OpenAPI/Swagger
- Testing - we use JUnit, Postman, Newman, SonarQube
- AWS services - we use Fargate/ECS, RDS, CloudWatch
- CI/CD tools - we use Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Docker
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead one or more teams of software and DevOps engineers (currently 12), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, innovative software solutions
- Collaborate with Product Managers to align team activities with product vision and business goals
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and career development to team members through regular one-on-ones
- Drive efficient processes and standards to enable team success and maintain high engineering standards
- Contribute to architectural decisions, software development, and code review
- Participate in resource planning and recruitment activities to scale the engineering team as necessary
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and positive team culture
- Contribute to the growth of Belleseβs engineering practice with other engineering leaders
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with HL7 FHIR, as Bellese is building our expertise in this area
