Engineering Manager

Summary

The job is for an Engineering Manager at BoostDraft, a software engineering company that develops an assisted document editor. The company has been profitable since its launch and has received acceptance into prestigious accelerator programs. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for technical decisions, driving the team and project, growing team members, creating a psychologically safe environment, and meeting specific qualifications.

Requirements

• Experience to manage engineering teams of 5 or more people
• Fluent in coding with either C#, C++, Java or Rust
• Business level English

Responsibilities

• Being accountable for technical decisions that your team makes
• Driving your team and project to maximize the outcome of the team in a timely manner under a very dynamic and agile environment
• Growing your team members by giving them incrementally more challenging assignments and ongoing coaching
• Create a psychologically safe environment across the company beyond your local team

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Ability to understand both the customer's and engineer's point of view
• Fluency in Japanese
