Summary
Join Carrot Fertility as an Engineering Manager and partner with Product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to address member, customer, and business needs, driving increased member engagement and positive outcomes globally. Guide your engineers' performance and careers, manage roadmap execution, and ensure clear communication and collaboration. Provide technical direction, support the team with expertise, and contribute hands-on when needed. Contribute to shaping the Engineering organization's evolution, working with other Engineering Leaders. Carrot offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $180,000-$200,000, and a holistic Total Rewards package encompassing health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, and family-forming assistance.
Requirements
- Have 2+ years of experience in an engineering management capacity
- Have 2+ years of experience in a Senior-level Engineer IC capacity
- Thrive in leading through complexity and ambiguity, adapting to emerging challenges and business demands, while thoughtfully but pragmatically considering tradeoffs to make informed decisions
- Understand that there is not a one-size-fits-all decision engine for how we build Carrot’s product. A blank piece of paper doesn’t scare you, and you are excited to contribute to products from the ground up
- Be comfortable interfacing across an organization, collaborating closely with various functions, and influencing the direction of solutions to meet goals
- Build strong relationships and trust among your team and cross-functionally to enable higher impact of the work you are doing together
- Understand that varying personalities and backgrounds will represent engineering competencies and principles in different ways

Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to solve member, customer, and business needs while driving increased member engagement and positive outcomes toward fertility and family-forming journeys globally
- Guide the performance and careers of your engineers while managing the team’s execution of our roadmap, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with the product team and stakeholders to shape and deliver value in alignment with our business goals
- Provide technical direction, support the team with technical expertise, and contribute hands-on when needed
- Dive into code, review designs, and unblock engineers to drive execution
- Own the delivery of strategic efforts, balancing hands-on execution with delegation to maximize efficiency and support team growth
- Contribute to shaping our Engineering organization’s evolution, working alongside other Engineering Leaders owning and improving various aspects of what it means to be an effective Engineering organization at Carrot
