Engineering Manager

Summary

The job is for an Engineering Team Leader in a remote position at Duetto, a well-funded, high-growth global technology company transforming the hotel industry. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to build user experiences and back-end engines for optimal pricing decisions.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 10+ years of experience building enterprise-grade SaaS applications, including 2+ years managing teams of at least five full-stack engineers
• Strong foundation in building modern scalable web applications with expertise in both frontend and backend technologies
• Proven track record of delivering complex software products on time with high quality using agile methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience collaborating with US-based product companies and globally distributed teams using agile and scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with data-driven and data-focused applications, data scalability techniques; ideally, knowledge of SQL as well as modern NoSQL techniques
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and API-driven/MVC user interface frameworks
• Passion for analytical applications, forecasting, data visualization, and machine learning
• Curiosity about business problems and using modern infrastructure to solve real-world challenges

Responsibilities

• Own the execution and delivery of the product roadmap and backlog for two engineering teams
• Ensure high-quality deliverables for our customers, partners, and colleagues
• Coach and mentor teams and individuals for high-level performance and growth
• Consistently demonstrate excellent leadership behaviors
• Serve as the team scrum master, championing agile best practices—grooming, planning, retrospectives, and servant leadership
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams on planning, design, implementation, and ultimately customer success
• Continuously evolve engineering practices, systems, and processes towards efficiency and scale
• Work collaboratively with globally distributed teams
