Summary

The job is for an Engineering Manager at Eventbrite who will lead a remote team to deliver high-quality software, improve efficiency, drive change, and support the career growth of engineers. The role requires 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, a strong technical background, and experience in building consumer products.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in engineering leadership and people management
• Demonstrated ability to grow and lead high-functioning and diverse engineering teams
• Strong technical background and ability to contribute to design and architectural discussions - coach first, player second
• Experience building early stage consumer products, applying concepts like experimentation, rapid prototyping, and user research in engineering
• Experience working with a highly collaborative environment, driving a team who ships code to production often
• Develop a sustainable, healthy work environment which is both encouraging and challenging
• Working knowledge of fundamental cloud technologies, preferably within AWS

Responsibilities

• Lead a remote-first, cross-functional engineering team to deliver high-quality software in small, regular iterations
• Continuously aim to reduce cycle time and improve the efficiency of the team
• Improve efficiency and velocity for those teams
• Drive change effectively across our organization
• Have constant communication with the leadership team
• Take ownership of career development for high performing engineers
• Lead your team to success on important initiatives even during times of frequent distractions and conflicting guidance from above
