Join Feedzai's Engineering team as an Engineering Manager to lead the re-architecture of the core Risk Engine, a crucial component for all fraud prevention products. Guide the transformation into a microservice-based architecture, ensuring scalability and efficiency in a cloud-native environment. Drive a DevOps culture focused on automation and operational excellence, enabling continuous delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing services. This technically demanding role requires deep knowledge of distributed systems and data-intensive workflows. You will manage one or two engineering teams, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role involves planning, executing, and ensuring the success of technical projects.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Team Leading and/or Management experience in managing technical projects and engineering teams
- 5+ years of software development
- 5+ in a platform or dev-ops/SRE team in a SaaS environment and supporting mission-critical services
- Capable of leading by example not being afraid to take risks and going beyond what’s expected
Responsibilities
- Manage one or two teams of engineers from daily execution to performance and career management
- Lead by example, care for your team, and establish credibility with the quality of your and your team's technical execution
- Provide technical leadership to the team from driving architecture and design up to doing code reviews
- Be responsible for the planning, execution, and success of technical projects
- Work with key stakeholders across all groups within the Engineering and Product Teams
- Develop and empower top-class engineering and technology practices in the teams
- Closely work with the recruiting team to find and interview engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on projects that move quickly and have ever-changing processes and structure
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, and critical thinking
- Be able to handle stakeholder’s expectations and push-back when necessary to ensure the success of the project
- Be solution-oriented, and when issues arise, be able to roll up your sleeves and tackle them with a ‘get it done’ attitude
- Team player with a clear focus on taking the performance of teams to the next level
