Summary

KarmaCheck is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its development team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience as a People Manager, 7+ years in Software Development, and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects. The role involves shaping technical practices, collaborating with product management, overseeing engineering teams, and fostering a healthy work environment.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience as an Engineering People Manager
• 7+ years (or relevant experience) in Software Development relevant to our tech stack

Responsibilities

• Help shape the technical practices, recruiting, onboarding, planning, and prioritization process for the engineering organization
• Collaborate closely with product management to shape the product roadmap and establish the direction for the engineering team
• Help coordinate and align roadmaps across teams
• Align and establish engineering-wide priorities
• Oversee and contribute to a multidisciplinary team of software engineers responsible for building and maintaining key components of the KarmaCheck platform
• Facilitate the planning and prioritization of work for your team(s)
• Develop and support initiatives to improve engineering efficiency, quality, and team morale
• Lead your team in the execution of a steady delivery cadence, providing value to KarmaCheck users
• Work with your team to reduce technical debt and scale our architecture sustainably
• Collaborate with our data vendors to prioritize technical and product enhancements
• Support and develop your team of engineers through feedback and coaching
• Ensure day-to-day execution against priorities
• Work with your team to set our engineering velocity and culture, ensuring both speed and quality
