Join Pulumi as an Engineering Manager to lead the ESC (Environments, Secrets, and Configuration) team, focusing on delivering secure and scalable solutions for secrets management and configuration within Pulumi's Cloud platform. Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing high-performing, inclusive teams
- Strong technical background in security products, developer tooling, or cloud infrastructure, with a deep understanding of secrets management or encryption
- Experience delivering customer-focused, secure software solutions at scale
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly convey technical concepts and product vision
Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team focused on secrets management, configuration, and security
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative culture that prioritizes team ownership, customer focus, and growth
- Provide career development opportunities and conduct regular performance reviews to support team member growth
- Work closely with product management, design, and other engineering leaders to define and execute the ESC roadmap
- Align the teamβs efforts with Pulumiβs broader security and developer experience goals
- Drive the development of secure, reliable, and user-friendly features that solve complex infrastructure and security challenges for developers
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality, well-tested, and scalable systems that integrate seamlessly with the Pulumi ecosystem
- Advocate for customer-centric development by incorporating user feedback and telemetry into planning and decision-making
- Lead by example in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural design processes when needed
