Requirements
- 3+ years supporting engineers as a manager
- Some experience working on a relevance driven product (either as an engineer or an EM)
- Background as a product engineer with a track record of building some consumer products that people love
- Familiar with fast moving, dynamic, cross-functional teams
- Strong focus on user experience, high empathy, excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality delightful new AI/search experiences
- Support engineers on the team by helping them develop their skills, find impact, and execute effectively
- Set technical and product direction for Answers
- Collaborate effectively with multiple product, infra, and ranking teams
- Identify your teamโs needs, write job descriptions, source, interview, and help close candidates
- Help your engineers identify career goals and create development plans to achieve them
- Constantly seek opportunities to push your engineers & managers outside their comfort zone and turn followers into leaders
- Serve as a thought partner to product and upper management to ensure your teamโs plans align with company goals
- Communicate your teamโs work and set expectations with cross-functional stakeholders
