Requirements

• 3+ years supporting engineers as a manager
• Some experience working on a relevance driven product (either as an engineer or an EM)
• Background as a product engineer with a track record of building some consumer products that people love
• Familiar with fast moving, dynamic, cross-functional teams
• Strong focus on user experience, high empathy, excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality delightful new AI/search experiences
• Support engineers on the team by helping them develop their skills, find impact, and execute effectively
• Set technical and product direction for Answers
• Collaborate effectively with multiple product, infra, and ranking teams
• Identify your team’s needs, write job descriptions, source, interview, and help close candidates
• Help your engineers identify career goals and create development plans to achieve them
• Constantly seek opportunities to push your engineers & managers outside their comfort zone and turn followers into leaders
• Serve as a thought partner to product and upper management to ensure your team’s plans align with company goals
• Communicate your team’s work and set expectations with cross-functional stakeholders
