Requirements

• You live in the EMEA (Europe, Middle-East, Africa) timezones
• You understand that great things are accomplished when teams work together
• You’ve made a lot of mistakes, and most importantly, have learned from them
• You have 2 years of experience handling teams of 2-6 high-performing engineers
• You have experience performing technical interviews
• You have experience with the development of reliable and maintainable web applications and services
• You have experience mentoring and coaching team members
• You know how to find a balance to deliver high-quality software often
• You can collaborate with your team and also with the rest of the teams and departments in the company

Responsibilities

• Lead a remote team of 2-6 backend and frontend engineers from several nationalities on a complex distributed application
• Mentor and coach team member and ensure they are engaged at work and have growth opportunities
• Create a trusting, healthy and friendly environment for your team, where transparency is key and feedback can be provided in any direction respectfully and professionally
• Be in charge of hiring, evaluating team members performance and letting them go if required
• Plan and execute software projects of different sizes without micromanaging your team
