Engineering Manager

Summary

Join TrueML, a mission-driven financial software company, as an Engineering Manager, Integrations. Lead a team developing a robust AWS-powered integration framework, connecting with financial partners. Mentor and develop team members, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to execute the product roadmap. Contribute to delivering personalized digital-first experiences improving consumer financial health. This role involves a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• 2+ years of experience managing others
• Strong technical skills and experience in one or more programming languages
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Passionate about building high-quality software products
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software products
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and execute on the product roadmap
• Mentor and develop team members
• Conduct regular 1:1s with team members to provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities
• Drive progress based on individual strengths and weaknesses
• Lead with empathy and foster a positive and supportive team environment
• Responsible for recruiting, leading, developing, and growing the engineering team
• Work with the team to identify and solve technical challenges
• Ensure that the team is following best practices for software development
• Keep up-to-date on the latest technology trends
• Work with other Engineering Managers to ensure that the team is well-coordinated and aligned with the overall company goals
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation, providing timely response and resolution to production issues

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive experience with AWS cloud technologies, specifically: AWS Step Functions: Designing and implementing serverless workflows for orchestrating integration processes. AWS Glue: Building and managing ETL jobs and crawlers for data transformation and loading
