Engineering Manager

Summary

The job is for an Engineering Manager position at Voltron Data, focusing on leading a team and developing the company's data processing engine, Theseus. Requirements

• Experience with data processing engines or frameworks
• Experience in distributed and multi-threaded systems
• Experience in HW resource management including memory and thread pools
• Working with SQL and non-SQL systems and their computational abstractions
• Developing in C++, especially using modern C++
• Developing for multiple types of hardware (i.e. CPU, GPU)
• Experience leading and managing a software development team

Responsibilities

• Lead a team working on Theseus, the accelerator-native data processing engine built for composability
• Build, optimize and maintain the data execution framework
• Add new features to Theseus, making it run faster and more scalable
• Contribute to new core architectural components that will enable the engine to run at Petabyte scale

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing user defined functions
• Experience with multi-query concurrency and multi-tenancy
