Engineering Manager, Front-End

Requirements

• Have previous experience with web systems design and development, so you can participate in technical meetings, understand, evaluate, and provide feedback to ensure the tech solutions meet the functional requirements
• Have experience with UX-related projects, involving frontend web applications and mobile apps
• Have skills in Native Mobile Development (iOS, Android), Hybrid React Native
• Have knowledge of APIs and integrations
• Have familiarity with modern development frameworks and processes (such as ReactJS, NextJS, and CMS integration)
• Have experience with Javascript, Java
• Have outstanding business analyst skills
• Have worked with various tools for software development, source code/version control management, project and ticket management, CI/CD
• Have knowledge working with Agile projects and methodologies
• Have experience managing people, working with team development, hiring, feedback, performance reviews, meetings, documentation, planning, and metrics
• Have very good English communication skills: You should be able to organize and participate in frequent calls and meetings with native and other foreign English speakers where you should understand AND speak

Responsibilities

• Manage software development technical teams, discussing the conception and development of new products as well as the maintenance and evolution of existing products, discussing team and project priorities and resource allocation
• Own the lifecycle for various development projects including research, development, design, evaluation, testing, and delivery to product management, reporting the status to possible stakeholders
• Understand the product vision and help translate that into technical requirements and support prioritization properly
• Participate in meetings with internal and external clients for requirements definitions and be the bridge between the product and development teams, aligning demands, expectations, and timelines
• Use your technical background and expertise to mentor and guide the team on how to solve technical challenges while also assuring that the team follows the processes and procedures of the company’s software development unit
• Build and maintain a high-performing and motivated team fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and providing feedback and coaching for individual growth
• Support the team with their needs, removing impediments, helping with the understanding of the functional specification, helping with the integration with other technical teams, and assuring the team's productivity
• Run daily standup and planning meetings with the development and product teams
• Help the company to continuously improve our development processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Have development of payment/financial systems or integrations experience
• Have experience with technical documentation and definition of APIs
• Have participated in international projects
