Summary

Join Stripe's Connect team as an Engineering Leader and lead a group of engineers in building and enhancing the Connect product for numerous platforms and marketplaces. Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to drive product delivery and user satisfaction. As a key leader, you will own and drive relevant success metrics. You will work with engineers and product managers to design and build the user experience and product offerings. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to enable fast growth and build a high-performing team. Success in this role requires experience managing a large engineering organization and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Experience managing and growing an organization of 30-50 engineers for 3+ years
  • Experience in managing managers and driving multiple mission-critical and highly visible efforts in parallel successfully
  • Effectively recruited, mentored, and retained great people, who are extremely effective over the long term
  • Successfully built a team, defined its mission, set strategies, and executed its goals with high velocity and high quality
  • Experience with owning and driving core product and user metrics
  • Experience in designing and shipping user-facing product offerings
  • Experience working closely with Product Management and Design
  • The ability to thrive in a problem domain with high ambiguity, complexity, and can operate with great autonomy
  • The ability to work well across functions and organization, and are able to think rigorously and make hard decisions and tradeoffs
  • Constantly looking for ways to optimize for the best outcome

Responsibilities

  • Understand the core mission and responsibilities of your organization. Set strategies and prioritizations on how to best achieve outsized impact and drive significant progress on core success metrics
  • Work with engineers and PMs to design and build the right user experience and journey, the product offerings and features
  • Work with products, GTM, and other cross-functional partners to enable fast growth
  • Empower your team for high productivity, velocity, while delivering high quality outcomes
  • Effectively building strong relationships with other orgs and leaders, to achieve highly efficient collaborative results. Many of the hard problems need to be solved via close partnership with other organizations
  • Build and grow a healthy team with strong bench leaders

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in payments and embedded finance product domain is a nice plus but not a hard requirement
