Collaborate with Product, Design, and Protocol teams to translate strategic objectives into well-executed engineering initiatives. Guide architectural and technical decisions, particularly in areas involving infrastructure, validator orchestration, blockchain integrations, and distributed systems. Establish and improve engineering processes, ensuring high velocity, consistent quality, and strong incident management practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in engineering management, leading cross-functional backend or infrastructure teams in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
- 2+ years of experience managing remote engineering teams, with the ability to foster collaboration, accountability, and a sense of belonging
- Excellent people management skills, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development
- Effective communication and stakeholder alignment, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business implications and vice versa
- Bias for action and ownership, you thrive in environments where initiative and autonomy are expected
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex technical projects, balancing quality, reliability, and speed in high-availability or mission-critical environments
- Strong technical background in backend systems, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed engineering team, fostering a strong sense of ownership, trust, and collaboration across time zones
- Own the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable systems , balancing reliability with rapid iteration in a high-availability blockchain infrastructure context
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Protocol teams to translate strategic objectives into well-executed engineering initiatives
- Guide architectural and technical decisions , particularly in areas involving infrastructure, validator orchestration, blockchain integrations, and distributed systems
- Establish and improve engineering processes , ensuring high velocity, consistent quality, and strong incident management practices
- Support individual growth through regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and clear career development planning
- Hire and onboard top-tier engineering talent , contributing to a world-class remote-first engineering culture
- Foster a culture of operational excellence , encouraging documentation, automation, observability, and continuous improvement across the delivery pipeline
- Ensure strong communication practices , proactively surfacing progress, risks, and dependencies to internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Golang for backend or infrastructure services
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure, particularly: GCP or AWS for production environments
- Terraform and infrastructure-as-code
- GitOps workflows (e.g., Flux, ArgoCD)

- Contributions to open-source projects or active engagement with the blockchain community
