Join Pigment, a fast-growing AI-powered business planning platform, as an Engineering Program Manager (EPM). The EPM will work with engineering teams to enhance clarity, direction, and scope of projects, contributing to both daily delivery and long-term scaling initiatives. Responsibilities include improving the release pipeline, incident response, and monitoring practices. The role also involves fostering team well-being through activities and initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses experience in technical project/product management or related fields, demonstrating resourcefulness, change management skills, diligence, and integrity. While software engineering experience is a plus, it's not required; the ability to understand and interpret code is essential. The position does not involve people management.
Requirements
- We expect demonstrated experience in helping technical teams build and run in a fast-paced environment, with the right touch of processes and empowerment of individuals
- Technical project/product management, engineering management, quality engineering, and production-related roles are typically the kind of roles where such an experience is demonstrated, but we are open to a diversity of backgrounds

- The position doesn’t involve people management
Responsibilities
- Deliver: You make a difference every day in the engineering team(s) you are working with, as you enhance clarity, direction, scope, and keep all the parts together with other roles (such as Product Managers). Typically an EPM accompanies 1 to 3 teams in their delivery, ranging from technical projects (e.g. scalability and performance, SRE) to more functional ones (e.g. bringing automations to our product)
- Scale: You contribute to the engineering instances wherever you can bring added value. For instance, you can contribute to maintaining a healthy release pipeline, participate to incident response, oversee improvements to our monitoring and alerting practices…You also lead initiatives of various sizes to tackle the needs and issues that arise when growing as an organization. For instance, suggest evolutions to roles and responsibilities, better organize knowledge management, or work on large-scale projects related to quality management and production stability
- Federate: You contribute to the general well-being of the team, upon opportunity and based on affinity, for example as an organizer of regular instances (all-hands meetings, newsletters…), hackathons, team building activities, and any other idea related to the promotion of Pigment culture internally and externally. You also contribute to Pigment hiring and branding initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a software engineer is a plus but not required. The position does not involve coding. You should be able to read and understand code and read / comment / challenge a technical design
