Summary

Join ZipRecruiter as an Enterprise Billing Coordinator and report directly to the Sr. Manager, AR & Billing. You will be the accounts receivable point-of-contact, processing invoice and billing requests for our largest Enterprise customers and partners. Key responsibilities include providing billing support, reporting, and collection efforts. You will collaborate with accounting, sales, and tech departments to ensure accurate billing and payments. This hybrid role offers a flexible work environment. The position requires 2+ years of experience in billing, collections, or related fields, proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in billing, collections, or other financial-related fields
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets at an intermediate level (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Familiarity with data navigation with a strong aptitude and willingness to learn reporting and SQL
  • Effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact professionally with enterprise clients and internal teams at all levels
  • Proven attention to detail and strong initiative in researching and resolving billing discrepancies or customer issues
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple customer accounts in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, with strong analytical and follow-up capabilities
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently as we as part of a team to meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks and escalate issues as needed
  • Creative thinker with a talent for triaging issues and recommending effective solutions

Responsibilities

  • Process client requests regarding billing discrepancies, reporting, and general customer support via email, Salesforce cases, Slack and other remote conferencing platforms
  • Respond to client billing inquiries in a professional and timely manner, providing clear explanations and resolutions
  • Proactively identify and resolve billing discrepancies and issues, communicating with internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • Assist with month-end responsibilities including, but not limited to, billing specifications, data compilation and revenue recognition activity
  • Support the complete billing cycle for a portfolio of enterprise clients ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with client agreements and Company policies
  • Collaborate with the Collections team on overdue client accounts, providing necessary documentation and support
  • Investigate and provide documentation support for reconciliation and audit purposes
  • Maintain purchase orders and accurate records regarding billing and collection activity
  • Coordinate with our accounting, sales and tech departments on operation-scaling initiatives
  • Maintain training and operational documentation material, as needed
  • Provide support for special projects or tasks as assigned by your manager
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties as necessary to support team and Company initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with subscription and usage-based billing models
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms
