Summary
Join Version 1 as an Environments Manager and oversee the setup, maintenance, and governance of test environments across multiple projects. You will develop processes to track environments, create short-term plans for delivery, and coordinate release engineers for automation. Responsibilities include monitoring uptime, providing support, communicating availability, developing KPIs, resolving conflicts, and identifying areas for automation. You will work with project teams on estimates and forecast environment requirements. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environment management, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple environments and priorities
Responsibilities
- Develop process to track test environments required for QA
- Create short-term plans to deliver environments to support sprint-based development
- Coordinate activities of release engineers to automate the setup and configuration of test environments
- Monitor and guarantee uptime of test environments
- Provide ongoing support for test environments
- Communicate test environment availability to project management and quality assurance
- Develop KPIs to track efficacy of test environment delivery efforts
- Resolve conflicts between teams competing for limited testing resources
- Identify area for automation to make enable swift provisioning and deprovisioning of environments
- Work with Project teams to provide estimates for onboarding of new projects to test environments
- Forecast environment requirements based on anticipated future demand from multiple application development team
