Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (mathematics, engineering, data science), business admin, communications, or marketing
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills
  • The ability to relay technical information to non-technical customers
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales/solutions engineering (or related role) in the federal space
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech startup environment
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting/programming language
  • Appropriate security clearances
  • Permanent eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Local to Washington DC

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales executives to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Prepare technical presentations to explain the company's products and services to federal customers
  • Work with sales leaders to create customized proposals and ultimately close enterprise level software/service deals
  • Serve as a technical liaison between sales, product, customer delivery, and engineering teams
  • Work with the internal product development team to help identify and prioritize functionality that will deliver increased value to federal customers
  • Solicit and log customers’ feedback to create new sales and marketing strategies
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops and conferences, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data management, transformation, and processing skills (ideally with imagery)
  • Experience working with various geospatial datasets (GIS, remote sensing, vector and raster)
  • Experience with machine learning, data science, computer vision, and image processing
  • Ability to use common geospatial and image processing tools/packages such as: GDAL, geopandas, Q/ArcGIS, opencv
