Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, SAGE, Acumatica)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Keen interest in process improvement and automation
- Excellent accuracy and analytical thinking
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in English
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Responsibilities
- Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with [US GAAP - 280E standards]
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor financial performance and provide key insights and recommendations to leadership
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads
- Monitor budget variances and implement corrective actions as needed
- Develop financial models to support business planning and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and audit requirements
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Develop and enforce strong internal controls and financial policies
- Lead and mentor junior finance team members
- Collaborate with customer operations, HR, legal, and other departments
- Drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives within financial operations
- Provide support to management as needed
- Assist in streamlining accounting processes and improving operational efficiency
