Join Axur, a company dedicated to internet safety, as a Finance Lead. You will lead and optimize the finance function, encompassing Accounting, Controllership, Treasury, Tax, and Payroll. This role requires a proven track record in financial operations leadership, preferably within tech-driven environments. Requirements
- Proven experience leading financial operations as a Finance Lead, Finance Manager, or in an equivalent leadership role — preferably in startups, scale-ups, or tech-driven environments
- This includes hands-on experience managing end-to-end financial processes such as controllership, tax, treasury, payroll, and financial reporting, as well as supporting strategic initiatives like fundraising, M&A, and international expansion. A solid background in driving operational efficiency, implementing automation and digital tools, and acting as a strategic partner to business areas is essential
- Advanced English and fluent Portuguese: Required for effective communication with both local and international stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, clients, and investors
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, including Accounting/Controllership, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Tax, Payroll, and occasionally Facilities — ensuring operational efficiency across back-office functions
- Act as a key partner and right hand to FP&A — supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes
- Lead negotiations with vendors, service providers, and clients — ensuring financial sustainability, cost efficiency, and alignment with the company’s goals
- Design, implement, and optimize financial processes through automation, AI, ERP systems, and digital tools — driving scalability and efficiency
- Act as a transformation leader — fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and digital automation
- Build, develop, and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams — fostering a culture of efficiency, automation, and AI adoption as enablers of operational excellence and scalability
- Manage the month-end close process, accounting accuracy, and financial reporting
- Own the full consolidation process across multiple entities (domestic and international) — ensuring financial accuracy, proper cost center classification, and compliance with accounting standards
- Support strategic initiatives — including fundraising, M&A, international expansion, and due diligence processes
- Track and manage key financial and operational metrics (e.g., SaaS metrics, unit economics)
- Act as a strategic business partner — empowering teams with the tools, processes, and financial insights needed to drive performance and achieve goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using ERP Omie and Quickbooks
- Experience in M&A, due diligence, and/or fundraising processes
- Practical experience applying AI (including generative AI) to financial processes
- Background in business intelligence tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.)
- Advanced skills in Google Sheets, including scripting, automation, and complex financial modeling
- Familiarity with Lei do Bem and implications for tax incentives and R&D investments
- Understanding of the Brazilian Tax Reform and its potential financial and operational impacts
