You will also lead financial close processes, analyze financial results, manage cash flow, and partner with other departments to ensure operational excellence. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in financial management and operations with significant time spent at high-growth tech companies and/or startups
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience building an operational budget and reporting on performance vs. budget
- Demonstrated success in managing the operations of an organization with ability to flex high to low on various tasks as needed
- Effective communicator and strong writer: ability to distill key takeaways into concise messaging
- Proven experience in managing financial audits, preparing tax filings, and overseeing budget development
- Cross-functional partner who is comfortable interfacing with Legal, People, Workplace Operations, and Recruiting, among other functions
- Highly proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets; comfort with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
Responsibilities
- Partner with and advise senior leaders across the organization on company strategy, growth, and revenue opportunities
- Oversee all internal financial operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Independently build and maintain operating model incorporating strategic plans for the organization
- Manage general company operations, including, but not limited to, workplace operations, administrative tasks, and non-technical IT stack
- Interface with external vendors and assist with vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiations
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling accounts and partnering with external accountants to ensure accuracy
- Analyze financial results and track performance vs. budget to provide insights and recommendations to management
- Manage cash flow and optimize working capital by managing purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Partner with legal and engineering to ensure all operational processes and procedures meet a high standard of excellence
- Identify and develop operational systems, process optimization initiatives, controls, and procedures for improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with treasury management strategies
