Finance Controller

You will manage accountants, facilitate client meetings, and handle monthly and yearly financial closes. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field with over 5 years of progressive experience
• Build and oversee accounting processes for full-cycle accounting
• Perform financial statement analysis
• Review and recommend chart of accounts
• Provide cost of goods sold guidance
• Have prior client-facing experience
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations
• Account for intercompany activity and perform financial statement consolidations
• Account for unrealized gains and losses
• Be familiar with equity accounting and reconciliations for stock and convertible notes
• Have advanced knowledge of ASC 606 - Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 - Lease Accounting
• Have experience overseeing the work product of others
• Have knowledge of the financial due diligence process

Responsibilities

• Implement processes and systems for clients, including needs mapping, system selection, setup, and implementation
• Facilitate client meetings
• Oversee monthly and yearly financial closes
• Support startup clients needing Controller help
• Context shift, communicate, prioritize, and evaluate client needs
• Manage accountants and processes for clients and potentially internally
• Embrace the agile and scrappy nature of startups

Preferred Qualifications
