Finance Intern

Summary

The job is for a Finance Intern at Xepelin, a Chilean-Mexican FinTech company aiming to democratize financial services for small businesses. The intern will participate in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as supporting various areas of the company with operational and financial analyses.

Requirements

• Student of last year of Economics, Engineering, Finance or Business
• Have a valid school insurance
• Knowledge in programming and data analysis (Python, SQL)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Analytical and strategic mindset with attention to detail and processes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build internal and external relationships
• Passion for the problem Xepelin solves

Responsibilities

• Participate in the preparation and updating of Xepelin's financial planning, analyzing historical and trending income and expense data in dashboards, databases, and financial information
• Update Xepelin's Opex model, including analysis of scenarios and variations to provide visibility to leaders
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis of Xepelin, comparing results and delivering explanations for variations
• Create solid relationships with different areas that impact the budget to ensure visibility and compliance with our KPIs
• Support the preparation of corporate reports for the leadership team and investment funds
• Identify and implement the best financial management processes and tools to support the leadership team's decision-making
• Support various areas of Xepelin with operational and financial analyses
