Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and analysis
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Previously worked as a contractor or direct hire at USAID
- Experience hiring, managing or working with PSCs
- Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, Microsoft Office 365
- Must be able to obtain a public trust or greater
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain financial stability and operational efficiency
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- Prepare and present financial reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with auditors, addressing and resolving any audit findings promptly
- Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with department heads
- Track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Supervise and mentor finance team members to foster accountability and professional growth
- Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and tools for efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure the integrity of financial data across organizational systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in Finance or Accounting, or CPA/CFA certification
- Experience in managing finances for government contracts or USAID-funded projects
- Familiarity with Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract structures and hybrid pricing models
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams
