Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Previously worked as a contractor or direct hire at USAID
  • Experience hiring, managing or working with PSCs
  • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, Microsoft Office 365
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust or greater

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain financial stability and operational efficiency
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies
  • Prepare and present financial reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with auditors, addressing and resolving any audit findings promptly
  • Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with department heads
  • Track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members to foster accountability and professional growth
  • Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and tools for efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data across organizational systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Finance or Accounting, or CPA/CFA certification
  • Experience in managing finances for government contracts or USAID-funded projects
  • Familiarity with Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract structures and hybrid pricing models
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams
