Requirements
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with GAAP
- The ability to create and implement scalable finance processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- A strong sense of ownership over your work and outcomes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Comfort with Large data sets
- Understanding of the downstream effects of financial decisions
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all accounting-related systems and processes to ensure financial operations run smoothly
- Oversee internal finance processes including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related functions
- Lead the implementation and transition of new financial software, including AR software and Sales Tax software
- Ensure accounting processes are working correctly and identify opportunities for improvement
- Conduct detailed analysis on financial results and investigate areas of over/underperformance
- Educate internal stakeholders on new software platforms and work with relevant teams to QA implementations
- Collaborate with external accountants to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing business cases for investment
- Experience with modern finance software
- Recent implementation experience within the last few years
- Experience in performing FP&A functions, such as performance versus plan analysis
- CPA certification
- East Coast is preferred
