Finance Manager

Summary

Join Virtual Society Foundation as a Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of Somnia, a fast and cost-effective EVM-based blockchain. You will develop and optimize financial infrastructure, manage fiat and crypto treasury capital, process payments, determine financial requirements, and manage departmental budgets. Conduct financial analyses, prepare financial statements, maintain SOPs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and identify financial risks and opportunities. The role is remote, with a preference for candidates in Europe or Asia, reporting to the Head of Operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience in financial management, and strong expertise in financial modeling and treasury management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a foundation or startup environment
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting tools
• In-depth knowledge of treasury management and asset diversification strategies
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, with a proactive problem-solving approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to develop and maintain financial SOPs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the financial operations infrastructure of the company
• Set up and manage proprietary fiat and crypto treasury capital and ensure asset diversification
• Process fiat and crypto invoices, payments, and reimbursements promptly and accurately
• Determine financial requirements for operations, including working capital, cash flow, and budget allocations for various departments
• Manage and monitor departmental budgets, analyze performance, and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Conduct financial analyses, including estimating startup costs, operational expenses, and revenue projections
• Prepare corporate and management financial statements to meet reporting requirements
• Maintain and update the finance department’s SOPs to reflect current practices and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment and support organizational goals
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, proposing strategies for mitigation and growth

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or CPA/CFA certification
• Preferable experience in crypto payments
