Summary

Join Pathpoint, the first fully digital wholesale broker, as a detail-oriented Financial Operations Analyst to support our Financial Operations Manager in insourcing and optimizing core finance and accounting processes. This role will involve collaborating across multiple departments to ensure smooth financial operations, assist with monthly reconciliations, and improve process efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 2-4 Years of Experience: Previous experience in financial operations, accounting, or a related field, preferably in an insurance brokerage, large agency, or fast-growth environment
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data and processes
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve processes
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and take initiative in improving existing processes and workflows
  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in the preparation and reconciliation of agency receivables, vendor payables, and monthly carrier payables, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Support the processing of unreconciled Ascend wire payments to ensure proper allocation and reconciliation
  • Assist in logging monthly carrier payables in Novidea, and review and process backlog payables in Salesforce for the current year
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile carrier and Salesforce data. Create and document workflows for the monthly payment process, ensuring accuracy after payments are disbursed
  • Support senior management in the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of past-due warning accounts for carriers
  • Assist with reconciling outstanding items in Novidea, including policies with unapproved transactions, to ensure accurate financial records
  • Participate in special projects, such as internal audits and ad-hoc assignments, as required by senior management
  • Provide back-up support to the Finance Manager and team, promoting continuous quality improvement in all finance operations
  • Apply new technical accounting guidelines to work processes and develop exception reporting and reconciliation procedures to manage high transaction volumes efficiently
