Requirements

  • Hold a business or accounting degree (CPA preferred)
  • Have at least 5+ years of experience, ideally with a combination of external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
  • Possess advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, specifically in Excel, including macros, data analysis, and pivot tables
  • Be experienced with Xero accounting software

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all accounting functions, including cash and accrual accounting, tax compliance, and overall financial compliance
  • Supervise and ensure efficient accounting processes for monthly payroll, employee reimbursements, accounts receivables and payables, and other compliance matters
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, performing detailed analysis, account reconciliations, and preparing balance sheet and profit & loss statements
  • Prepare the company for its inaugural annual financial audit
  • Cultivate strong relationships with external auditors, accounting/tax advisors, and other service providers
  • Ensure the accurate preparation of annual income tax returns and other necessary tax compliance filings
  • Provide valuable support during the quarterly and annual budgeting and planning processes
  • Collaborate on FP&A monthly forecasts compared to budget, involving cash flow, headcount projections, and capital allocation decisions
  • Actively contribute to shaping strategic financial processes and decisions, encompassing cash and treasury management, cost control, KPI tracking, M&A, and more
